SACH Australia Chairperson, Millie Phillips, awarded honorary doctorate from Tel Aviv University

Entrepreneur, philanthropist and SACH Chairperson in Australia, Mrs Millie Phillips, was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Tel Aviv for her many years of philanthropic activities and contributions.

We are honored that Mrs Phillips is part of SACH and proud of this well-deserved achievement.

At its session on the 3rd day of December, 2014 the Senate of Tel Aviv University resolved to honor Millie Phillips in recognition of her accomplishments as a prominent self-made entrepreneur, woman trailblazer and philanthropist in Australia; her inspiring career path from humble beginnings to the forefront of the Australian mining and property industries; her dedication to strengthening Jewish heritage, identity and continuity through educational and community programs in Australia and Israel; and her deep and abiding commitment to the State of Israel, including generous support for Tel Aviv University, by conferring upon her the degree of DOCTOR PHILOSOPHIAE HONORIS CAUSA of Tel Aviv University

Mrs Phillips traveled to Israel to receive the honorary doctorate and visited Save a Child’s Heart; she met the SACH children, volunteers and team members and toured the Wolfson Medical Center and the SACH children’s home.
