Nine-year-old Miracle Nkanda from Malawi has become the 9,000th child to receive life-saving heart treatment through Save a Child’s Heart.
Born with a complex congenital heart condition that could not be treated in Malawi, Miracle travelled to Israel without her family, accompanied by a nurse, to undergo surgery at the Sylvan Adams Children’s Hospital at Wolfson Medical Center. Her surgery, performed by the Save a Child’s Heart medical team, was successful.
